Since the beginning, in 1985, Luciano has always believed in the uniqueness and exceptional nature of the Cannubi hill and its potential, expressing it in a separate vinification. This wine pays tribute to the richness and elegance of an exceptional vineyard, in the heart of Barolo.

It is a blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, which ages in French barriques (two thirds new) for 20 months and for at least one year in bottle. Le Black Label Brut owes its iconic name to Victor Lanson who gave it in 1937, both as a proof of openness to the world and as a tribute to the Royal Court of England which Lanson has been officially supplying since 1900. This champagne is a balanced alliance of vitality and finesse, freshness and elegance, characteristic of the Lanson Style.

Millesimati
The 2009 harvest offered a complex wine that is characterised by its richness, its freshness, its generous aromatic expression, and its balance. The colour is straw yellow, sparkling with fine bubbles. The aromas of pears, apricots, candied fruits, honey, acacia flowers and lime blossom form an intense bouquet.

Six suppliers enable them to make this a cuvée ronde. Pale lemon and lime, with soft floral notes, aiming for the rounded and eventually buttery style of Meursault. Plenty of oak at the moment helps to drive this style but ultimately it is medium-bodied rather than a weighty monster.

Medium to pale crimson. The bouquet is attractively perfumed, the red fruit starts gently at the front of the palate then gains weight, and I like the drier structure at the back because the fruit can keep pace with it. Not at the moment in the same harmony as the Gevrey but this will certainly come.

Obtained from Nebbiolo grapes from Barolo thanks to a shorter vinification and a limited aging period. It is ruby red, with fruity and herbaceous hints, on the palate it is full and harmonious. Excellent on medium-aged cheeses and cold cuts. Serve at 16-17 degrees. It can evolve optimally for 5-7 years.
