Friuli Venezia Giulia

A land of great whites, Friuli offers a great choice of indigenous and non-native red wines, from Cabernet Franc to Refosco. Elegant and very long-lasting. The skill in vinification of Friulian producers is well known and in dealing with red grape varieties is often inspired by the great French wines. The use of wood is often an integral part of winemaking, but never in an intrusive way. The art of assembly is also very common, and cases of Bordeaux cutting in Friuli are not rare.

The Refosco grape is not very tannic but the cold climate of our vineyards requires a very delicate maceration to avoid green extractions and obtain more elegance. Large oak barrels (French and Slavonian) provide the right evolution while maintaining the expression of the soil unchanged .

Wine of a deep red color with violet reflections. Intense, grassy fragrance, typical of the varietal, with notes that recall the wild blackberry, berries and plums; during the maturation process the aromatic notes are developed due to the aging in barrels. A rich taste, slightly tannic and pleasantly bitter.
