Slightly straw-colored with pale gold reflections. The aromas of white flowers combine with honey, reminiscent of gingerbread. In the mouth the elegance is safe, pleasant, maintaining the freshness of the grape without giving in to excessive softness.

In this wine, roast hazelnut precedes ripe, dark-cherry notes that seem to find their way straight to a pleasure center of the brain. The palate follows in a hedonistic flow of ripe, velvety dark cherry, perfumed with a hint of Amarena.

Six suppliers enable them to make this a cuvée ronde. Pale lemon and lime, with soft floral notes, aiming for the rounded and eventually buttery style of Meursault. Plenty of oak at the moment helps to drive this style but ultimately it is medium-bodied rather than a weighty monster.

The bouquet is attractively perfumed, the red fruit starts gently at the front of the palate then gains weight, and I like the drier structure at the back because the fruit can keep pace with it.
