Red Wines

Located south of Richebourg and Romanée St-Vivant and bordering Echézaux to the east, Les Suchots is one of the most important premier cru of the appellation. It produces ethereal, full and spicy wines with a long aging potential.

The 1988 harvest was extraordinary for Tuscany, an event that prompted Raffaele Rossetti to want to realize an innovative idea by combining the Sangiovese di Capannelle with a Merlot grown in Tuscany. Merlot produced by the Avignonesi di Montepulciano company is selected. Thus a great red wine was born on 50 & 50.

With its unique spicy notes, the wine is always the roundest, the fruitiest and the most open of the range. Silky on the palate, with a kind of nervous, acidic and tense finish. Usually appreciated by restaurants for its immediate and soft side.

The wine is produced with the grapes owned by the family and is a splendid example of the wines of Chambolle where the power is dampened by a great elegance making it never banal and perfect for being aged in the cellar.

This cru produces Barolo with a great structure but with elegance and complexity. Scents initially fruity then floral then spicy, open and intense. Generally of exceptional aptitude for aging. Food matches: red meats in general, grilled or raw crustacean fish, grilled white meats, hard or seasoned cheeses, chocolate, meditation.

The intensity and refinement of Chambolle-Musigny wines are expressed with elegant subtlety in terms of appearance, the bright ruby colour creating brilliant and luminous reflections. Violets and small red berries make up the highly characteristic bouquet. Rich, with powerful and complex aromas, Chambolle-Musigny coats the palate with silk and lace. Delicate and full-bodied, it nonetheless...

Color: Intense garnet red. Nose: Strong notes of ripe fruit, black cherry and plum mix with slight hints of toasted wood, leaving ample space for more accentuated fragrances of blackberries, wildflowers, mint and cocoa. Taste: Wide, soft acidity, ripe tannins, fruity olfactory sensations return to the finish.

The grapes come from the homonymous vineyard "Cascina Francia", historic vineyard of the Conterno family. In the 2020 vintage, the Barbera Francia presents itself with typical acidity and a great elegance, a wine perhaps not very ready to drink, but which can be kept for many years in the cellar.

Intense garnet red color, with a nose rich in floral notes and ripe fruit, with hints of orange peel, licorice and menthol. Persistent and elegant on the palate, with enveloping tannins, notes of cherries in alcohol and minerals.

Obtained from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes produced in the vineyards located in the Municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in Località Mariondino.

One of the most renowned Cru in the whole Barolo area, a true jewel in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, where the two souls of Barolo meet, the more austere and the more "gentle". Vines over 50 years old give rise to a wine of incredible depth and complexity.
