A wine of great complexity and elegance, intense aromas, fragrant fruit, enveloping body.

The harvest is strictly manual - long fermentation at controlled temperature from 22/23 ° up to 27/28 ° and then go down naturally.
This is to have the best extraction of tannins and therefore help the wine to be more long-lived. Traditionally aged in 15hl Slavonian oak barrels for 2 years and not only for 9 months as per specification.

The grapes come from the homonymous vineyard "Cascina Francia", historic vineyard of the Conterno family. In the 2017 vintage, the Barbera Francia presents itself with typical acidity and a great elegance, a wine perhaps not very ready to drink, but which can be kept for many years in the cellar.
