In this wine, roast hazelnut precedes ripe, dark-cherry notes that seem to find their way straight to a pleasure center of the brain. The palate follows in a hedonistic flow of ripe, velvety dark cherry, perfumed with a hint of Amarena.

Obtained from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes produced in the vineyards located in the Municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in Località Mariondino.

One of the most renowned Cru in the whole Barolo area, a true jewel in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, where the two souls of Barolo meet, the more austere and the more "gentle". Vines over 50 years old give rise to a wine of incredible depth and complexity.

"The 2018 Barolo Ornato is somber, brooding and quite closed in on itself. There's a ton of aromatic and flavor complexity, but the fruit is very much in the background. It will be interesting to see if the 2018 emerges, or if it remains rather compact, as it is today. There's a good bit of density and power behind all of that tannin. In the mouth it is velvety ample and fills up with sweet and lasting tannins. The great polyphenolic structure of Nebbiolo and the right acid tannic balance of this wine are synonyms of long lasting wine.

With its unique spicy notes, the wine is always the roundest, the fruitiest and the most open of the range. Silky on the palate, with a kind of nervous, acidic and tense finish. Usually appreciated by restaurants for its immediate and soft side.
