Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs - Aleran
100% Pinot Noir It is made from a blend of several different vintages. It rests 30 months on the lees and is dosed 7 gr/litre. The vineyards are located in Celles-sur-Ource in the heart of the côte de Bar, on the southernmost part of Champagne, of which Pinot Noir is the dominant grape variety. The nature of the soil is marl and limestone on the Kimmeridgian terroir. Cultivation is reasoned and the grapes are harvested by hand. The blend is of different plots vinified in thermo-regulated vats. The colour is golden yellow. The nose is fruity: red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), ripe fruit. The mouth is generous and mouth-watering. Of good complexity and refinement. Perfect with first courses with light sauces, fish and white meats.
Produced by Cheurlin-Arnoult in Celles-Sur-Ource in the Côte de Bar, department of Aube, Champagne ALERAN is reserved exclusively for the Italian market. It is only distributed in wine shops, wine bars and prestigious restaurants in limited quantities. Founded in 1898, it has always remained a family-owned and independent company and is currently managed by Jean Baptiste Cheurlin, a passionate winemaker like his predecessors for four generations. Owning 18 hectares of vineyards in five different communes, they vinify three different grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Pinot Blanc, rare in Champagne, is mainly cultivated in the Côte de Bar. Champagne ALERAN owes its name to ALERAN DE TROYES, a valiant nobleman appointed first Count of Troyes by Emperor Louis the Pious. Troyes is the historic capital of the Counts of Champagne and today the capital of the Aube.
