Produced by Cheurlin-Arnoult in Celles-Sur-Ource in the Côte de Bar, Aube department, Champagne ALERAN is reserved exclusively for the Italian market. It is distributed only in prestigious wine bars, wine bars and restaurants in limited quantities. Founded in 1898, it has always remained an independent family business and is currently headed by Jean Baptiste Cheurlin, a winemaker as passionate as his predecessors for four generations. Owners of 18 hectares of vineyards, on five different municipalities, make 3 different grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Pinot Blanc, rare in Champagne, is mainly grown in the Côte de Bar. Champagne ALERAN owes its name to ALERAN DE TROYES, a valiant nobleman named first Count of Troyes by the Emperor Louis the Pious. Troyes is the historic capital of the Counts of Champagne and today the capital of the Aube.
