Red Wines

There was a time when the Dal Cero were Veronese. Today Igino, Franco and Anna Maria return to the eastern lands of Verona, the birthplace of their father Pietro, to whom this bottle is dedicated to reaffirm their history and savor the wind of those places. They do it with a wine symbol of winemaking in the world: Amarone.

In this wine, roast hazelnut precedes ripe, dark-cherry notes that seem to find their way straight to a pleasure center of the brain. The palate follows in a hedonistic flow of ripe, velvety dark cherry, perfumed with a hint of Amarena. 

Via Nuova was the name of a small vineyard located close to the inhabited center of Barolo. Its name derives from the proximity to the road (new, in the last century) that connected Barolo to Novello. The 2019 Barolo Bricco Boschis is laced with dried red cherry fruit, spice and strong savory accents. I find the flavors a bit dried out and the tannins overpowering, both of which penalize the wine's balance.
