Red Wines

The grapes come from the homonymous vineyard "Cascina Francia", historic vineyard of the Conterno family. In the 2020 vintage, the Barbera Francia presents itself with typical acidity and a great elegance, a wine perhaps not very ready to drink, but which can be kept for many years in the cellar.

Intense garnet red color, with a nose rich in floral notes and ripe fruit, with hints of orange peel, licorice and menthol. Persistent and elegant on the palate, with enveloping tannins, notes of cherries in alcohol and minerals.

The soils are of marine origin from the Tertiary era, characterized by bluish marl (at a depth ranging from 1 to 3 meters), limestone and compact.
