It is characterized by a consistent percentage of Syrah grapes that make it very full and rich, while maintaining the elegance and freshness typical of Rocca di Frassinello wines.

"The 2016 Barolo Gallinotto is an attractive, gracious La Morra Barolo. The tannins need time to soften, so I would cellar it for at least a year or two. Dried cherry, mint, orange rind, crushed rose petal, anise and sweet spice all develop in the glass. Ultimately, the 2016 might merit a slightly more positive note if it sheds some of its youthful austerity. " Antonio Galloni
