Red Wines

Intense garnet red color, with a nose rich in floral notes and ripe fruit, with hints of orange peel, licorice and menthol. Persistent and elegant on the palate, with enveloping tannins, notes of cherries in alcohol and minerals.

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, gattinara has long been considered the younger brother of the most renowned Langa wines. With the acquisition of the Nervi company by Roberto Conterno, perception has rightly changed and is now considered a great wine, powerful and elegant, with great aging potential.

In the mouth it is velvety ample and fills up with sweet and lasting tannins. The great polyphenolic structure of Nebbiolo and the right acid tannic balance of this wine are synonyms of long lasting wine.

"The 2019 Barbaresco Vanotu is laced with ripe dark cherry, plum, spice, mocha and espresso. In this vintage, the Vanotu is a bit light in structure, which seems to accentuate the oak imprint. It will be interesting to see how this ages. Perhaps there is more depth than what is coming through at the moment." Antonio Galloni - Vinous
