Red Wines

Barolo Ravera is a deep and extremely complex wine, as well as balanced and elegant. The aromas are spicy, with floral notes, red and black fruit, tobacco. In the mouth the acidity is always alive, while the body is deep, with a dense, persistent but velvety tannic texture.

An austere and important wine, which has its distinctive characteristics in its aromatic complexity and gustatory depth.

Intense garnet red color, with a nose rich in floral notes and ripe fruit, with hints of orange peel, licorice and menthol. Persistent and elegant on the palate, with enveloping tannins, notes of cherries in alcohol and minerals.

Via Nuova was the name of a small vineyard located close to the inhabited center of Barolo. "The 2016 Barolo Bricco Boschis is another gorgeous wine from Claudio Viberti. Sweet dark cherry, plum, lavender, spice, menthol, licorice and dark spice emerge gradually from behind a wall of brooding, potent tannins. In the mouth it is velvety ample and fills up with sweet and lasting tannins. The great polyphenolic structure of Nebbiolo and the right acid tannic balance of this wine are synonyms of long lasting wine.

The 2019 Barolo Bricco Boschis is laced with dried red cherry fruit, spice and strong savory accents. I find the flavors a bit dried out and the tannins overpowering, both of which penalize the wine's balance.

"The 2019 Barbaresco Vanotu is laced with ripe dark cherry, plum, spice, mocha and espresso. In this vintage, the Vanotu is a bit light in structure, which seems to accentuate the oak imprint.
