Color: Intense garnet red. Nose: Strong notes of ripe fruit, black cherry and plum mix with slight hints of toasted wood, leaving ample space for more accentuated fragrances of blackberries, wildflowers, mint and cocoa. It is a blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, which ages in French barriques (two thirds new) for 20 months and for at least one year in bottle. With very fine tannins and a persistent finish, Il BLU presents itself as a wine of great structure, which fascinates for its complexity and elegance.
