Red Wines

Bright purple robe. Small red fruits, marasca cherries, violets and hay: an aromatic range that refers to summer walks in the mountains ... and the intoxicating vinosity that reigns in the cellars in September. Soft, open to the palate and balanced, it has delicate tannins accompanied by a fresh acidity.

55% Barbera and 45% Freisa. Grapes from two adjacent vineyards with a laminated fossil Sant’Agata marl soil, made looser by alluvial debris and stones. This wine combines the charisma of both varieties: the nose is sophisticated like Barbera and wild like Freisa, intricate and explicit.

Color: Ruby red of particular consistency and brilliance with garnet reflections. Nose: Intense aroma, typical of the grape and of particular complexity and finesse. It is expressed with floral notes of violet and fruity notes of crunchy cherry. Nuances of white pepper and vanilla emerge that unfold with tertiary hints of undergrowth. Color: Intense ruby ​​red color with garnet reflections. Nose: Intense bouquet, of particular complexity. It is expressed with fruity notes of black berry fruit, enriched by spicy nuances of black pepper, cinnamon and vanilla with mineral hints of graphite. Taste: In the mouth it shows a vigorous structure with tannins of impressive length and fineness of grain.

The vineyards are located on the northern, less sunny and cooler side of the Cascina Nuova hill, the site of our estate, and also in Castelletto di Monforte on the cooler slopes. Here we grow juicier grapes that give a velvety and light Dolcetto d'Alba to enjoy young and fresh.
