The grapes come from the homonymous vineyard "Cascina Francia", historic vineyard of the Conterno family. In the 2020 vintage, the Barbera Francia presents itself with typical acidity and a great elegance, a wine perhaps not very ready to drink, but which can be kept for many years in the cellar.

The vineyard is located in the Municipality of Barbaresco, in lean soils, rich in mineral salts and densely stratified. Born from old clones and from a particular selection, fermented and aged in steel and cement.

For this wine, the grapes from the cooler exposures and from the younger vineyards of the Cascina Nuova hill, home of the company, are used. Here we grow juicier grapes that give a velvety and light Barbera d’Alba to be enjoyed young and fresh.
