The grapes have a maximum age of 15 years. The maceration of the skins is limited to 6-8 days in order to extract the few tannins present from the skins and as much coloring substances as possible from them, so that the wine has a good color and a remarkable softness.

This cru produces Barolo with a great structure but with elegance and complexity. Scents initially fruity then floral then spicy, open and intense. Generally of exceptional aptitude for aging. Food matches: red meats in general, grilled or raw crustacean fish, grilled white meats, hard or seasoned cheeses, chocolate, meditation.

"Vigna del Salice" is obtained from the pressing of Barbera d'Asti grapes coming from the oldest vines owned by the company, of high hills, facing south-east, where the vocation for the Barbera vine is higher.

The soils are of marine origin from the Tertiary era, characterized by bluish marls even outcropping, lean, calcareous and compact lands. The stratification is dense and complex, rich in mineral salts and natural springs. The Barbaresco Tre Stelle is the result of the best exposure of this geographical mention, 100% Nebbiolo grapes.
