Sweet and special wines

La Cuvée Vieilles Vignes (40 years the average age of the vineyard) AOC Sauternes is composed of 100% Sémillon. The wine is aged 12 months in barriques and 10 months in cement tanks. The 2013 vintage has a pH of 3.54 and 100 g / l of residual sugar.

Golden yellow, with bright amber reflections. The nose is characterized by a wide range of honeyed aromas, withered white flowers and dried fruit. On the palate, the sweet notes and the references of candied orange and apricot jam find the right counterpoint in a pleasant acidity that cleanses the palate and supports the long persistence.

In the mouth it is warm, harmonious, enveloping and never cloying, since the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the freshness and flavor.

An elegant wine with a pleasant acidity that does not cover the high sugar content, but makes it easy to combine with both medium-aged cheeses and dry sweets made with hazelnuts. An excellent quality / price ratio.

Sémillion, sauvignon and muscadelle, vines that expertly assembled give rise to Sauternes which have always been characterized by an innate refinement and elegance. The average age of the vines is 45 years. The harvest is manual, the wines are then aged in barriques for 13/18 months. Since 2013 its wines are BIO.
