Barbera
Historic Piedmontese vine, finds its maximum expression in the areas of Asti and Alessandria. Its characteristic acidity makes the wines long-lived and elegant, especially if aged for a few months in small wood. An easy pairing wine, especially as regards the "Base" Barbera which are generally aged simply in steel, thus maintaining freshness and acidity. On the other hand, Barbera Superiore deserve a different discourse, whether they are from Alba or Asti. In both cases, the refinement of at least one year in wood (Barrique or tonneaux) is typical. Thanks to this extra aging time the typical acidity is slightly softened by the wood, but the aging potential grows enormously. Perfect wines for every occasion, with an excellent quality / price ratio.
