Today Philipp Schladerer represents the sixth generation of the distillery located in the Black Forest, in German Schwarzwald (in southwestern Germany) and continues the tradition of producing well-known fruit distillates. Artisan standards are applied at every stage of the process, from the careful selection of hand-picked fruit to specialized work from maceration to distillation. A fruit brandy is only as good as the fruit that goes into it. This is why Schladerer places great emphasis on healthy and fragrant fruit that has been harvested at its peak. One bottle of Schladerer Kirsh contains between four and five kilograms of cherries sourced exclusively from select local growers. With a breathtaking landscape from its peaks to valleys, vast forests, meadows and crystal clear streams, the Black Forest has always been richly blessed by nature. At the foot of the Black Forest, which includes the Markgräflerland and Staufen regions, it enjoys a particularly mild climate: here the seasons are well defined, but never too rigid. Ideal conditions for fruit cultivation and distillation craftsmanship, which has a rich tradition in southern Germany. This is because the area produces cherries, mirabelle plums, wild plums, apples, pears and berries of exceptional quality. All the harvested fruits are transformed in the most environmentally friendly way, through sustainable production processes that mainly use renewable energy. And one thing is guaranteed: Schladerer products are 100% natural. Today, the distillery creates contemporary compositions for the bar world based on original recipes.
