Torabhaig Allt Gleann is the second edition whisky from the Torabhaig distillery. It is part of the Legacy collection, a series of limited edition whiskies that will accompany the distillery's development in anticipation of the 10-year-old Torabhaig, to be released no earlier than 2027. Allt Gleann is an edition aimed at collectors and enthusiasts worldwide and is made from heavily peated 'Concerto' and 'Laureate' type malts. The whisky was then aged in ex-bourbon barrels of first and second passage and was bottled without cold filtration. The alcohol content is 46%.
Torabhaig is the first distillery to open on the Isle of Skye in over 190 years! Perhaps more than any other distillate, Single Malt Scotch Whisky is inextricably linked to its place of origin. Torabhaig is no exception. Rising from the ruins of an abandoned farmhouse, the distillery was designed to blend seamlessly into its surroundings. The distillery began distilling in 2017 and is now ready to release the first of four limited editions called The Legacy Series.
