Champagne Blanc de Blancs 1er Crü "Le Mont Joyeux" 2015 - Monmarthe
Color: A light and luminous yellow, fine and elegant bubbles
Nose: Frank, fine, very elegant, with aromas of white flowers and some notes of vanilla, due to barrel aging
On the palate: a frank and mineral attack, aromas of crunchy peaches and sour melon. A long and round finish with citrus and mandarin notes.
The "Mont Joyeux" is a 5200 m2 vineyard, planted with Chardonnay. It is located on the commune of Taissy, a commune near Ludes. Its soil is mainly chalky, classified as Premier Cru. Its exposure is South-East.
Vintage 2015: a dream year, aligning all the parameters to get the best! Autumn and winter 2015 were rainy and mild with a great drought from April to August. As the harvest approaches, the rain returns and the berries swell. The harvest takes place with a beautiful sun, cool in the morning and pleasant in the afternoon.
• 100% Chardonnay
• No malolactic fermentation - Aged oak barrels for nearly 8 months.
• Aging on the lees for a minimum of six years in a plaster vault.
• Dosage of 8 g in Brut for a balanced wine - with a minimum of six months of disgorgement.
