"The 2021 Barolo Coste di Rose is soft and quite supple, qualities that make it easy to taste, even in the early going. Crushed flowers, dried cherry, mint, rose petal are nicely lifted in this understated, quiet Barolo. This comes across as quite open for a young Barolo." Antonio Galloni
Coste di Rose is a small additional geographical mention of the municipality of Barolo, on a steep slope that descends steeply from the top of the Bosco della Fava to touch the border of Monforte d'Alba. The greatest emotion is the one you get when you reach the top of the vineyard, where a dune of pure Sandstone of Diano, originating in the Tortonian, stands about five meters high. The presence of these ancient sands gives Barolo DOCG Coste di Rose its distinctive trait: cherry and pink tones, mint and sweet spices, a silky tannin and a satisfying sip.
