Barolo "Lazzairasco" 2019 - Guido Porro
COLOUR: ruby red with orange reflections.
BOUQUET: intense spicy notes, hints of dried red fruit with clear olfactory sensations of vanilla and liquorice.
FLAVOUR: intense, austere and elegant, good acid balance, balsamic notes from soft wood, long persistence and harmony.
PRODUCTION AREA: Serralunga d'Alba- Subzone Cru Lazzarito. GRAPE: 100% Nebbiolo. AREA: about 2 hectares. EXPOSURE: South-South/West in hilly area at 380 metres above sea level approx. SOIL: calcareous clay very strong structure. AVERAGE AGE OF VINES: 40-45 years old. VINIFICATION: traditional long maceration method: natural fermentation without the addition of yeasts in contact with the skins for 15/20 days in vitrified cement vats, pumping over 3 or 4 times a day. Ageing for three years in Slavonian oak casks of 15 to 25 hl capacity. FOOD MATCHES: Due to its structured and full-bodied characteristics, it goes well with meat dishes, game and matured fonnages typical of local cuisine, as well as with international dishes. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18/19°C. Uncork the bottle a few hours beforehand and decant into a carafe. ALCOHOLIC STRENGTH: 15% Vol
