The Rocche di Castiglione vineyard belongs to a beautiful strip of land, overlooking the Rocche, in fact, a steep part of the hill covered by woods. In the stratigraphic horizons the mother rock is outcropping, the sedimentary soil is shallow, thin, quite loose. Plants suffer from a lack of water in the hottest periods.
