The red color with violet reflections, refers to the sweetness of a dark fruit of refined elegance. Intense and rich on the nose, it is at the same time concentrated and harmonious: flowers and fruit when young to leave room for hay, tobacco and spices. On the palate again fruit with grains of graphite lead to a crescendo of classical music.

    VARIETY 100% Barbera

DESCRIPTION From the assemblage of six terroirs, referable to the Tortoniano, Elveziano and Messianico, a harmonic and elegant Barbera is born.

VINEYARDS The Fossati, San Pietro, Passau and Fontanì vineyards (in the Municipality of Barolo) are rich in white marls, which give the wine delicacy and aromatic and refreshing notes of wild red fruit. The Piedicucche vineyard (Municipality of Novello) has darker lands, rich in clay and iron, which give the wine volume and structure. The Elvezian formation of the Bricco Bertone vineyard (Municipality of Sinio), more calcareous and above all older, characterizes the wines with darker shades of black fruit, incense and ash.

CULTIVATION Vajra has always believed in sustainable agriculture and in the natural grassing of the vineyards. No irrigation is used and thinning is decided based on the year.

HARVEST AND VINIFICATION The Barbera harvest takes place in the second half of September. The entire collection and selection process is done manually. The fermentation lasts 15-20 days, depending on the vintage. Malolactic fermentation required for this variety and maturation, partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel for about 12 months, complete the work of nature.
