It is a wine of high concentration in all its aspects. To the eye it shows its high layer and deep purple color. The nose is deep and complex, with a predominance of ripe and even stewed black fruit, accompanied by balsamic and spicy notes reminiscent of its place of origin. In the mouth is where it develops its full potential, it is a full-bodied wine, with presence but with very good acidity that gives it balance and makes its passage through the mouth is friendly and very persistent.

CLIMATIC CONDITIONS The 2021 vintage was considered EXCELLENT in the Murcia IGP. It was a vintage with a very rainy winter, which provided water reserves despite a dry spring and a very hot summer. In general, the harvest was early, but our plots, located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level and facing north, had perfect grape ripening. Syrah and Petit Verdot were the first varieties to be harvested at the end of August. The result was grapes with excellent health, very concentrated, with high alcoholic strength while maintaining acidity and extraordinary ripeness.

ORIGIN OF GRAPES The Syrah comes from a single vineyard called MINAMI located to the south-west of the winery. The Petit Verdot comes entirely from a single vineyard called La Cueva del Inglés, located to the east of the winery, both in the La Raja Valley, on the northern slopes of the Sierra de La Pila Regional Park, in the Altiplano of the Region of Murcia. Both vineyards are 7 years old.

BARREL AGING The Syrah fermented in a 10,000 liter Saury French oak foudre and the Petit Verdot fermented in two 500 liter French oak barrels with the top removed. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation took place in 6 new 500-liter French oak barrels, where it was aged for 12 months until Christmas 2022. The cooperages for these 6 barrels were Adour, Demptos, Rousseau and Saury.
