It is Castellare's highest ranking wine, repeatedly in Wine Spectator's Top 100, repeatedly three glasses and five bunches, the winery's pride for being able to demonstrate the greatness of Sangioveto accompanied by Malvasia nera, up to fifth place overall in the world.
Intense red with garnet highlights, deeply sophisticated, it showcases its complete pedigree both in the bouquet and in the mouth. The quality of the fruit is exceptional, and one can distinguish each aroma clearly, from cherry to spice, with exceptional focus and integration.
It goes well with cured meats and meats rich in flavor, savory and aromatic cheeses, in particular, Tuscan Pecorino and Parmigiano.
