TERROIR This cuvée is a blend of two parcels of sandy-loam soil, one of Gamay planted in Charnay-les-Mâcon and one of Pinot Noir planted in Chevagny-les-Chevrières. One of Gamay, planted in 1963 in the commune of Charnay-les-Mâcon, and one of Pinot Noir, planted in 1968 in the commune of Chevagny-les-Chevrières.
VINIFICATION The grapes are hand-picked and destemmed, the vatting period lasts around ten days and the wine is matured in stainless steel vats without the addition of SO2. A small quantity is added at bottling to stabilise the wine. A small amount is added at bottling to stabilise the wine.
STYLE Its inimitable colour is a blend of garnet and raspberry. This marriage of grape varieties creates a fruity aroma (morello cherry, redcurrant, pomegranate juice) with subtle tannins. On the palate, it's an explosion of freshness and delicious fruitiness. Its very juicy profile makes it a very pleasant wine, easy to drink and share.

Classified together as the 'Grand Site Naturel' of France, these two peaks were the inspiration for the name DEUX ROCHES (TWO ROCKS) and have become its emblem. For over 30 years, the two families have worked in these unique landscapes, seeking the purest expression of Chardonnay on clay and limestone soils. They produce elegant white Burgundies, characterised by minerality, in the appellations of Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon-Villages, Mâcon la Roche Vineuse and Viré-Clessé.
