Prosecco Brut Asolo Prosecco Superiore - Villa Giustiniani
The colour is pale yellow, with a fine, persistent perlage that enhances a youthful freshness. On the nose, hints of acacia flowers and citrus fruits clearly prevail. On the palate, the mineral note given by the soil typical of the Montello hills is very noticeable. It goes well with raw fish and shellfish dishes.
Villa Giustiniani-Recanati is located in Spresiano, an area in the centre of the Treviso plain, crossed by the river Piave. The complex is evocative and constitutes one of the most characteristic corners of old Spresiano. It was erected at the end of the 16th century and offers itself with its simple 17th-century lines, well inserted in the vast park that surrounds it, part of which has now been reactivated for public use and where nature and art come together around the chapel, grotto and small lake. In Giavera del Montello and in Nervesa della Battaglia, the vineyards are planted to the Glera vine, the grape from which Asolo Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. is made. The terroir of Montello Sandy-clayey soil is typical of Montello, a red earth hill that rises, isolated and well-defined, just over 300 metres south of the river Piave. This mineral-rich soil gives life to delicate and fragrant wines.
