Not too intense ruby red color, a clear scent of ripe fruit reminiscent of cherries and very ripe cherry.
The wine is made from 30-40% Corvina grapes, 40-50% Corvinone and 10-20% Rondinella. The pergola vineyards have an average age of 25-30 years, while the espalier with Guyot system at 2500 vines per hectare instead have an age of 8-10 years. The harvest is done by hand with a strict selection of the grapes in the best stage of ripeness at the end of September / mid-October. The vinification takes place after cold maceration. This is followed by a period of rest in 2nd passage wood for 8-10 months, and a further maturation in bottle for at least 3 months.
