Wine with an opulent aromatic register that orientates itself when young, mainly on flint, flint. Lively and full of complexity, a very elegant wine.
AGE OF THE VINEYARD: 55 years
GEOLOGY: The vineyards are around the village of Meursault, above the Premier Cru "Les Genevrières" terrain. Soil: clayey-calcareous with a little more chalk. The slope is steep. East exposure. 100% Chardonnay - Guyot with different seasons in the vineyard (pruning, espalier / knotting, peeling).
VINIFICATION: The grapes are harvested by hand and selected in the vineyard. They are pressed lightly in a pneumatic press to obtain a slow extraction. After a light decantation, the wine is placed in 228 liter French oak barrels (15% new barriques) for the two fermentations (alcoholic and malolactic) with natural yeasts for 16 months.
AGING: Aging on fine lees. One month before bottling, the wine from the different barrels is placed in a stainless steel tank for assembly. The wine is finally clarified and lightly filtered before bottling according to the lunar calendar ("fruit" day for Meursault "Les Narvaux".
