With a beautiful deep ruby red color, the 2007 Troplong Mondot presents a nose in perfect balance between fruit, freshness and woody expression. It releases aromas of red fruits embellished with toasted, stone and almond notes with a hint of menthol and licorice typical of its soil. In the mouth, it shows a pleasant freshness and a tannin still quite present. A classic, greedy, persistent, full-bodied Saint Emilion 1er grand cru classé.

Troplong Mondot is located in the Saint-Émilion village, classified as a Grand Cru Classé. Strong and charismatic personalities mark the history of this Chateau. Owner since 2017, SCOR, the French leader operating in the reinsurance sector, has been the new owner since 2017, who is writing a new chapter in the history of the property, committing with conviction to a vision for the future to continue developing Troplong Mondot. They are conducting a renewal program to improve the terroir, which is also involved in the development of biodiversity. The vines are spread over about 33 hectares of land, where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are grown. The terroir is mainly limestone and clay. In the cellar the fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, and the refinements, carried out in 75% new oak barrels, last about 16-24 months. Château Troplong Mondot produces just over 40,000 bottles every year, and, in addition to the iconic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, they also have a second label, the "Mondot".
