Au Pied Du Mont Chauve
CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET | BURGUNDY - FRANCE
Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve was born from the charismatic Francine Picard, daughter of one of the largest wine-growing families in Burgundy, who after several professional experiences decided to return to the origins and to resume the historic property managed by her father. Mont Chauve in local dialect means Montrachet and the Domaine is located in the wonderful Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet, although you won't find the name on the label because their neighbor, Bader-Mimeur, had already registered the name before the family bought the castle . Passion and meticulous attention to detail: with these principles Francine follows the 35 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny- Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and on the hill of Corton. All the vineyards are grown in organic agriculture, although the Domaine has no interest in any certification. Every great wine comes from the vineyard. it is with this approach that Francine conceived the wines of Au Pied du Mont Chauve. The exaltation of the different characteristics of the terroirs is the priority of the Domaine, which produces precise and mineral wines that are felt especially in the front part of the mouth. The woods, although present, are always very little perceptible and never an invasive element.
