Porto LBV 2014 - Kopke
Of an intense purplish ruby color, the nose has exuberant aromas and lively notes of jam and ripe fruit. In the mouth it is full and enveloping, with rich and juicy sensations of berries, Full-bodied, it has a delicious and persistent finish.
L.B.V. stands for "Late Bottle Vintage" or "vintage port bottled late". It is a port produced with a single vintage and aged from 4 to 6 years in cask. Unlike Porto Vintage which requires a long aging in bottle and which must be consumed immediately once opened, LBV is ready to drink immediately, the bottle can remain open for a long time, but does not improve over the years.
