Orange gold 2020 is of a beautiful bright orange color, the result of maceration on the skins of white grape varieties. The nose has notes of apricot, white fish, orange peel and acacia honey. Excellent entry to the enveloping and fruity palate, light tannins and a nice finish.

It was in 1975, among the vineyards of Chateau de Villemajou in the heart of AOC Corbières that Gérard Bertrand harvested his first grapes and discovered his passion for wine. From there he perfected his knowledge by supporting his father, Georges Bertrand, for 12 years. Strongly linked to the value of excellence gained in his initial career as a professional rugby player, today Gérard continues in his mission to enhance the best terroirs of the South of France. What was initially a small family estate during his leadership has become the most important producer in the region. In the 1990s, Domaine de Cigalus was added to the initial estate of Chateau Villemajou and in 2002 Chateau Hospitalet, in the heart of the La Clape natural park. Today Gérard Bertrand counts 11 Chateau and produces all the main appellations of the South-West of France. It has also been for years one of the most important producers of organic and biodynamic wines in the nation.

THE BIO AND BIODYNAMIC VOCATION Gérard is convinced of the importance of organic, bio-sustainable and biodynamic agriculture. As early as 2002, the conversion of Domaine de Cigalus, the company in which it resides, to biodynamic agriculture began. For Bertrand, organic and biodynamic viticulture strengthens the bond with the environment allowing the maximum expression of the terroir in the wines. A difficult and intense work that the group carries out today in various Chateau including Cigalus, Hospitalet, Clos d'Ora, Sauvageonne and Clos du Temple.
