Cabutto
BAROLO | PIEDMONT - ITALY
The Cabutto family is one of the historic producers of Barolo. The history of the company began in the 1920s when the founder Domenico Cabutto purchased the Volta farmhouse directly from the Marquis Gastone di Mirafiori, nephew of the cadet branch of the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II.
The name Cabutto is synonymous with own vineyards, with over 20 hectares of vines located mainly in the most prestigious areas of the Langhe, exclusively in areas suitable for the production of DOCG Barolo, with a clear intent: to vinify grapes from different hills and from different exposures that bring unique peculiarities to the finished product, Traditional Barolo.
Attention to quality, research and study of the organoleptic characteristics of the individual plots give life to wines that express the true varietal character of the grape with purity and elegance. From the beginning, the family produced Traditional Barolo: assembling all the grapes from the various vineyards, with maceration for 25 - 30 days and maturation of the wine in medium and large Slavonian oak barrels.
They have always believed in the importance of the terroir and dedicated meticulous attention to the creation of excellent wines, which well represented the peculiarities of the area and which made the name of Barolo known throughout the world.
