Sauvignon Blanc Alto Adige DOC "Vom Kalk" 2022 - Tenuta Rohregger

Two different vineyards give the name and character to the Sauvignon Blanc "Vom Kalk" (dal limestone): that of Pianizza di Sotto near Caldaro, with its calcareous morainic soils and gravelly, and that of Corona above Cortaccia, with soils of calcareous gravel interspersed with tongues of clay. The aroma of the wine is not only influenced by the land but also by the altitudes, respectively 440 and 800 meters above sea level. The sunny slope of Pianizza di Sotto it is well ventilated thanks to the Ora, the wind from Lake Garda that blows in the afternoon. In the Cortaccia vineyard, at an altitude of 800 metres, the cold descending winds that blow during at night instead they exert a pleasant refreshing effect making the bunches ripen more gradually. The different locations, the type of soil and the low yield of the vineyards give the wine its notes deep, fruity and mineral. Slow aging in concrete tanks and wooden barrels (tonneau) also gives it structure and longevity.
