Banyuls Léon Parcé Mis Tardive 2016 - Domaine de la Rectorie
Grenache and Carignan Red
Bouquet: spicy and notes of red berry jam
Taste: very powerful on the palate and long in the finish
Marc and Thierry Parcé inherited the domaine from the family and in 1984, the year of the first bottling, the grapes came only from the vines of their grandmother, Thérèse Parcé, who for almost half a century had taken care of the domaine after her husband's premature death. Thirty hectares with different parcels from zero to four hundred meters in altitude on the sea where the different exposure, the old vines, the low yield and above all the maintenance of the old vines, maintains harmony and identity with the territory. The main vine is the black Grenache for the Banyuls and the Syrah, the Carignan and the Mourvèdre for the Collioure. White wines come only from Grenache Gris. The project by Thierry and Jean Emmanuel Parcé is aimed at farming respectful of traditions and the vineyard and its wines are the best example of an extreme and courageous viticulture. The project is flanked by the wines of the nephew / cousin, son of Marc, co-founder of the domaine, who values the wines of the hinterland at Maury.
