Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 anni - Tullibardine
Tullibardine was closed from 1993 to 2003. This fine single malt aged for 15 years is emblematic of the Highland distillery's revival. The whiskey is aged in first-pass ex-bourbon casks and the nose reveals complex aromas of hay, violets, baked apple, cloves and vanilla. The palate is intense with hints of "scones" (a Scottish gastronomic specialty), strawberry jam, custard and spicy notes. The finish is long, with hints of walnut and almonds and toasted hints.
Located in Blackford, at the entrance to Highland, Tullibardine Distillery is one of the very few independent Single Malt Scotch Whisky producers. In fact, the distillery was purchased in 2011 by the Picard family, who wanted to preserve Tullibardine's craft tradition. Today Tullibardine Distillery is one of the very few in Scotland to distill, mature and bottle its single malts on site, giving the team complete control over all production processes.
