Baudana enjoys a soil with unique characteristics thanks to its remarkable ability to store rainwater.
The grape harvest of this vineyard generally takes place around the third week of October. The fermentation starts quickly and then settles on a total duration of about 30 days, followed by another 10 of maceration. Much of the must ferments in a large oak barrel, where punching down and delicate pumping over are the only operations carried out during maceration. The wine is then aged in Slavonian oak barrels for about 32 months.
