Barbera d'Alba "Sagrin" 2017 - Raineri
Color: ruby red with important purple reflections
Aromas: spicy black pepper, ripe black berry fruit, intense
Taste: dry, fruity, intense and persistent, full-bodied, balanced
Pairings: throughout the meal, first and second courses based on meat, cold cuts and cheeses
Vineyard management: Inter-row grassing, with copper and sulfur treatments as needed.
Between July and August at least two thinning are done in the vineyard, followed by manual selection at the time of the grape harvest, which takes place in 20kg baskets.
Vinification: Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are crushed and de-stemmed, and left to ferment and macerate in steel tanks for about 14 days at controlled temperature (28 ° -29 ° C).
Aging: At the end of the malolactic fermentation which took place for about two months in French oak, the wine ages in used barriques for about 14 months.
No filtration or clarification.
