We are at the southernmost point of Africa: nestled in the highest peak of the crest of the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, we arrive in a unique valley enclosed in long expanses of sky, peaks and breathtaking ocean views. The cool maritime climate, the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the soil rich in clay and limestone make this valley a privileged place for the cultivation of Pinot Noir. Daniele Lenuzza, a Friulian winemaker, together with his South African wife Tanika, carries out a vinification of the Pinot Noir which involves 30% of whole bunches and a 15-month maturation in used French oak obtaining a wine with a beautiful tension and delicacy that represents, far from Europe, a great interpretation of this extraordinary variety.
