This red wine is obtained from the grapes of a single vineyard of 80 years of age and of unknown varieties, located on the right side of the road that borders the D.O. Jumilla and the D.O. Alicante and therefore, for years, considered a "table grape", underpaid and abused. The locals call them Le Vigne Bastarde. Those vineyards have been cared for for generations, already part of their being, of the family landscape. Then came the territorial borders and the denominations of origin, they were excluded, disqualified, of a few kilometers, sometimes of meters. Those vineyards, now 100 years old and surviving time, famine and the extreme climate of the plateau, remained defenseless, orphans, without a name, without origin, without a future.
With an attractive ruby red color, this red wine is fresh and balsamic on the nose, highlighting notes of ripe black fruit and fine leather details due to its passage through French oak wood. On the palate it is a classic wine, with soft tannins and a long and delicious finish.
