His inclination to 45 ° the origin of the name is not known: in old local dialect "gois" indicates a hill from very steep side. First clos and first territory whose grapes are vinified and blended separately, the Clos des Goisses is a unique and recognizable vineyard among all for its very strong slope. This plot of 5.5 hectares is the oldest clos (vineyard surrounded by walls) of Champagne and, above all, the steeper. His inclination to 45 ° the origin of the name is not clear: in old local dialect "gois" indicates a hill from very steep side. Perfectly exposed A 5.8 hectare walled vineyard, one of the rare closes in the region, the oldest and steepest in Champagne. And an equally exceptional territory: on the best hill of Mareuil-sur-Ay, in a land exposed to the south and where chalk emerges. Partial vinification in wood (53%) favors greater complexity, without premature oxidation. No malolactic fermentation is carried out so that the natural acidity compensates for the great power of the territory. At sight Yellow gold, fine and delicate foam. On the nose A particularly expressive and fruity first nose with notes of bergamot and candied cedar. It then opens revealing aromas of pastry, a delicious custard. In the mouth Tasty with notes of ripe fruit, mango, guava and with hints of wood punctuated by notes of vanilla. Fresh and long finish with a great concentration of aromas. Of Mareuil-sur Ay, with an exceptional soil in which the plaster emerges.
