Friulano Collio "Ronco delle Cime" 2022 - Venica & Venica

VARIETY The grapes of this Friulano DOC Collio come from vineyards facing north-west at an average altitude of 200 m above sea level. It is a white berried grape belonging to the indigenous grape varieties typical of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. HARVEST The grapes were harvested by hand and destemmed on September 16, 2019. VINIFICATION | AGING The grapes are then macerated for 18/24 hours at a temperature of 11 ° / 12 ° C in special containers, protected from oxygen with innovative systems by recycling their own fermentation carbon, in order to reduce the contribution of antioxidants. . The must ferments and ffi na on the lees for 6 months both in large 20/27 HL wooden barrels (for 40%) and in steel containers (for 60%). COLOR The Friulano Collio wine has an intense sunny yellow color with golden nuances. OLFACTORY NOTES The bouquet is large and varied: with fruity notes of pear, apple, white peach and banana, herbs and wildflowers, wisteria, rose, hydrocarbons and the uniqueness of toasted almonds. TASTING NOTES When tasted, it has the right flavor, a vibrant freshness, great texture and perfect balance. Highly structured, full, harmonious and enveloping. The drinkability is splendid, the sip is tapered and graceful, with a long almond persistence unique to this grape variety. TO ACCOMPANY WITH Ideal aperitif, with appetizers in general, and in particular with raw ham. It knows how to pair perfectly with shellfish, especially with cicadas, but its fullness also allows it to be paired with important baked white meat dishes. In general it has a broad spectrum of combinations. It is wonderful with a risotto with fresh porcini mushrooms.
