An aromatic wine par excellence, Moscato is presented in a glass of a beautiful yellow-green color, with characteristic golden reflections, with a persistent bubbly frame. The typical aromas are those of white acacia flowers, of passion fruit, of honey, with mineral notes of undergrowth such as sage, thyme and mint typical of our land.

      Size

Soil: medium-textured, with veins of red sand slightly higher than the average of the area.

Characteristics: the municipality of Treiso, together with the municipality of Neive, is one of the few municipalities in the Langhe to be able to boast the old land appellation of the four docs, past slogans because today two of these denominations have passed to the docg, but also because old table wines now all the wines of the Langhe are doc. In addition to the classic triptych formed by Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo (Barbaresco), the fourth denomination considered is that of Moscato d'Asti. At the end of 2008 we purchased new land partly cultivated in Moscato d'Asti, hence the decision to follow a new stimulus and to start, very timidly, to include this product in our range.

Technical notes: Moscato is notoriously an aromatic variety. The first to be harvested on our hills, where it is widely spread especially on those lands not suitable for the production of the noblest red wines. After the manual harvest in small 20 kg plastic crates, the grapes are transported to the cellar where the separation of the stalk (the green part of the bunch) from the grapes takes place, followed by pressing, followed by pressing at low temperature. This is done in a very short time to try to preserve as much as possible the aromatic substances that are the fundamental basis of Moscato. After the first night of natural cold decanting, the wine is filtered to separate the peel particles and the seeds in suspension, and put to rest at low temperature. The next phase is that of the second fermentation that takes place in stainless steel pressure containers, where a part of the sugars are transformed into alcohol up to a maximum of 5.5% vol. Then the bottling under pressure to maintain its characteristics unaltered.

Tasting Card: aromatic wine par excellence, Moscato is presented in a glass of a beautiful yellow-green color, with characteristic golden reflections, with a persistent bubbly frame. The typical aromas are those of white acacia flowers, of passion fruit, of honey, with mineral notes of undergrowth such as sage, thyme and mint typical of our land. On the palate it is sapid, pleasant and with a right acid note to counteract the considerable residual sugary fruit of a complete ripening of the grapes, such as to make it pleasant but intense.
