Pinot Nero Monticol 2017 - Terlano
This noble Pinot Noir grows in vineyards of medium-high height between 500 - 600 m s.l.m. Here the downward currents of air cool the temperature even in the height of summer. It has been grown in South Tyrol since the middle of the 19th century, especially the older vineyards give a structured and elegant Pinot Noir.
Color: ruby red - shiny garnet
Aroma: The fragrance of this Pinot Noir is rich in facets, offering not only fruity aromas of blackberries and berries, but also a delicate aroma of tobacco and focata stone, flanked by hints of white meadow mushrooms.
Taste: Pleasantly balanced and with a distinct mineral elegance, this red charms the palate, gratifying it with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
It goes very well with roe deer back with apple puree and red wine and ricotta gnocchetti, back of poppy milk calf, sirloin baked in foil with herbs, mashed potatoes and chestnut ragout, veal liver with butter and thyme, veal paillard with Mediterranean vegetables, or even orzotto or smoked venison with cranberry and horseradish sauce.
