Long Now expresses the concept of long present and is the name that some important Californian scientists and intellectuals (Long Now Foundation) have attributed to the particular clock depicted on the label, now present at the Museum of Science and Technology in London.

      Size

Soil: medium texture with a rich component of mineral microelements such as magnesium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and potassium.

Characteristics: the Langhe appellation d.o.c. collects within it productive areas and varieties of grapes among the most important in the world. This wine is made entirely in a new company that we purchased at the beginning of 1999, located a few hundred meters from our company headquarters, on the edge of the Barbaresco area. Very steep terrain, characterized by the presence of a Palma within it and which is, due to geographical boundaries, only half usable for the production of Nebbiolo from Barbaresco. In the remaining part, equally evocative and unrecognizable without the aid of topographic instruments, the Nebbiolo produced cannot therefore become with aging Barbaresco. We have therefore decided to combine it with Barbera, also present within this company, to give life to perhaps the most historic assembly already very common even among our grandparents, but undoubtedly very current and innovative even today.

The name and the graphic of the label express these characteristics of innovation and internationality to which the assembly of these two varieties can bring.

Tasting card: at the sight this wine has a violet-blue, almost black, violet color and little penetrable, but at the same time lively and particularly pleasant.

Impenetrable characteristics also perceptible to the nose with a very marked varietal component and very ripe fruit aromas, of blackberry, raspberry and red cherry, which frame the barely perceptible vanilla notes. Unbeatable on the palate, open, full, velvety, enveloping, it best expresses the characteristics of flavor and elegance that the two varieties possess and that enhance, if well modeled, the gustatory pleasure.
