The color of this Roero is a garnet red. The nose is broad, alive and elegant. In the mouth it has a good body and structure. Hints of jam and spices prevail immediately and are well balanced by the vertical freshness of the wine. The finish is long, persistent with delicate tannins.
Roero Rosso is produced with Nebbiolo grapes and takes its name from the territory in which the vines grow. The Additional Geographic Mentions have recently been approved, among which is Valmaggiore. The name Audinaggio comes instead from the Piedmontese "Autinagia" which means "small plot of land" and refers to the vineyard plot used to produce this singular Roero. Versatile in combinations, it goes well with risotto, light fries, fondue and truffle dishes. Also ideal with red meat roasts, game and mature cheeses.
